Junior Fishing Club – Intermediate
*Tathra Club - 3.45pm to 5.15pm weekly Mondays (Term start 2nd week of school term)
*Merimbula/Pambula Club - 3.45pm to 5.15pm weekly Wednesdays (Term start 2nd week of school term)
This program should be completed for at least one term before students progress to the Advanced option.
Every session weekly consists of a theory section and then a practical casting & fishing session to practice their new skills.
Week 1 – Equipment Selection & Service, Line class & types, Unit Knot and double Uni Knot
Week 2 – Preparing, presenting variety of baits & Burley
Week 3 – Float Fishing
Week 4 – Beach Fishing
Week 5 – Hard Body vs Soft Plastic fishing
Week 6 – Visit from DPI - Fisheries Inspector – Intro & Jobs available
Week 7 – Marine Rescue – Emergency Procedures
Week 8 – Presentation of homework project – Target species
Week 9 – Interclub competition
- 9 X Weekly Session Fee
- Trophies & Trophy presentation event
- Personalised Certificate at end of term presentation per child
- All equipment provided during each session
- All bait provided
- FFA Gift bag with fishing equipment for each child to keep
Total Term fee including GST = $180 per child inc. GST
